This is an academic blog run by students in the Fall 2010 Environmental Practicum at Butler University. The practicum is taught through the Center for Urban Ecology, where we focus on ‘Ecology for the City’. This semester the Practicum will be working with ‘Lights Out Indy’, an initiative of the Amos W. Butler Audubon Society. The mission of Lights Out Indy is to mitigate window strike deaths of migratory birds and reduce energy consumption in downtown Indianapolis. This blog will follow the class throughout the semester offering students the opportunity to discuss and reflect on their experiences.
